Day 5 Stage 7 – Bentong – Kuantan

Jangan terkejut kenapa coretan hari ini mengatakan kami memulakan Side Event Cycle Fest 2012 pada peringkat ke-7. Untuk pengetahuan anda semua, Peringkat ke-6 perlumbaan yang bermula dari Proton, Shah Alam hingga ke Genting Highland tidak mempunyai aktiviti Side Event di sebabkan keadaan geografi Genting Highland membataskan aktiviti kami di sana. Oleh itu, kami terus menuju ke destinasi yang seterusnya bertempat di D’ Embassy Serviced Residence Suites, Kuantan, Pahang Darul Makmur. Boleh di katakana perlumbaan peringkat ke-6 ini merupakan hari neutral untuk seluruh petugas Side Event Cycle Fest 2012.

Kembali semula ke Peringkat ke-7 perlumbaan, Side Event Cycle Fest kali ini di adakan di Bandar Kuantan. Jarak perlumbaan kali ini merupakan jarak yang paling jauh untuk edisi 2012 kali ini. Maka, Side Event ISN kali ini akan di buka lebih lama untuk warga Kuantan yang berkunjung di sini.


Seperti biasa, Booth ISN menjadi tarikan orang ramai yang ingin mencuba beberapa peralatan yang telah di sediakan oleh kami. Perkhidmatan rundingan dari Pusat Pemakanan Sukan, perkhidmatan Peak Bike yang di lakukan oleh Pusat Fisiologi Senamdan alatan senaman yang di bawa khas oleh Pusat Suaian Fizikal seperti biasa menjadi tarikan utama pengunjung ke Booth ISN.


Lebih kurang pukul 3.00 petang, para pelumba mula menghampiri garisan penamat dan situasi ini menyebabkan orang ramai mengalih tumpuan di pentas utama untuk menyaksikan saingan sengit perlumbaan berprestij ini. Mungkin ia dikatakan rahmat, sebaik para pelumba berada pada lingkungan 2 KM terakhir, hujan renyai mula turun namun ia tidak mematahkan semangat orang ramai untuk melihat aksi pelumba handalan dunia beraksi.

Macam biasa, kami mula mengemas booth untuk bertolak ke destinasi yang seterusnya iaitu ke Chukai, Terengganu. Perjalanan ke destinasi ini mengambil masa lebih kurang 2 jam. Petugas ISN sudah menjadi seperti Bangsa Nomad yang berpindah-randah, namun ia bukan satu kesulitan kerana kami bekerja untuk mempromosikan Institut Sukan Negara ke pada rakyat Malaysia mengenai Perkhidmatan Sains, Perubatan dan Teknologi Sukan.
